Appeal - Licenced Building Practitioner – Building Act 2004 – 4 December 2008 - Design 3 - 330(1)(a) reconsider application for licence – Design involves a range of processes – architectural drawings not essential although it is one indicator of Competency – designer may produce sketches or other documents for a draftsperson to work from – Competency in alterations and remediation are considered equal with Competency in the design of new buildings – evidence of category 3 work does not have to be an established record of work - Appellant demonstrated his capability of working at the level expected of a Design 3 LBP - although he had not presented a record of specific projects for Category 3 buildings – Registrar’s decision Reversed – Licence issued
