Licence ID cards

Digital licences and physical identification (ID) cards are a simple way to verify your identity as an LBP. If someone asks to see your licence, you have a duty to provide it.

Digital licences

If you have an active licence, you can download your digital licence via the LBP portal. You may print this, or save this to a computer or a mobile device.

Your digital licence will be in PDF format and will show your photo and details. It will also include a QR code, which others can scan to verify your status on the public register.

You can update your personal details and contact information via the LBP portal as needed. This will allow you to download a new digital licence that reflects your updated details. For more details on how to do this via the LBP portal, please visit:

Lost or replacement IDs

If you are unable to use the LBP portal, you can request for a replacement digital licence if:

  • your name has changed from what you have on your current ID; or
  • your appearance has changed significantly from the photo on your current ID; or
  • your digital or physical ID is lost, stolen, defaced, or mutilated; or has become illegible.

To request a replacement, please complete and submit the form below. The Occupational Regulation team will consider your request and send you your digital licence, if applicable. Please keep in mind that your request may take some time to process.

Plastic ID cards

As of October 2022, we no longer issue plastic ID cards for LBPs.

If you have a plastic ID card, you may continue using this as long as your licence remains active.
