Building Practitioners Board – new member sought
There is an opportunity to apply to become a member of the Building Practitioners Board. As a member of the Building Practitioners Board, you would play an important role in overseeing the Licensed Building Practitioners scheme. A key function of the Board is to manage and contribute to disciplinary hearings.
The Minister is particularly keen to receive expressions of interest from current Licensed Building Practitioners, particularly those who work in carpentry.
Ideally candidates will also have a thorough knowledge of the Building Act 2004 and the Building Code, dispute resolution experience, and experience of working in a collegial decision-making environment.
The time commitment of a Building Practitioners Board member is between 5 and 12 days per month (this includes preparation time for attendance at board meetings, sub-committee meetings, and hearings).
