A list of fees.

When you apply to become an LBP you will need to pay the following fees:

  • An application fee of $81.78
  • An administration fee of $173.78
  • An assessment fee (or fees if you apply for more than one licence)

The following table sets out the assessment fees payable for each licensing class. All fees include GST.

Examples:

1. An applicant applying for licensing in the Carpentry class using the standard process will need to pay the following:

  • An application fee of $81.78
  • An administration fee of $173.78
  • An assessment fee of $281.11

Total – $536.67

2. An applicant applying for licensing in the Carpentry and Roofing classes using the qualified practitioners’ process will need to pay the following:

  • An application fee of $81.78
  • An administration fee of $173.78
  • A qualified practitioner Carpentry assessment fee of $127.78
  • A qualified practitioner Roofing assessment fee of $127.78

Total - $511.12

3. An applicant applying for licensing in the Carpentry and Roofing classes using the qualified practitioners’ assessment process for Carpentry and the standard assessment process for Bricklaying and Blocklaying (one AoP) will need to pay the following:

  • An application fee of $81.78
  • An administration fee of $173.78
  • A qualified practitioner Carpentry assessment fee of $127.78
  • A standard Bricklaying and Blocklaying assessment fee of $281.11

Total - $664.45

You may be offered a face-to-face interview if the evidence in your written application does not demonstrate that your skills and experience meet the relevant competencies. This will incur extra costs. You will be provided details of any extra costs when an offer of a face-to-face interview is made.
