  • Summary: The Respondent carried out seriously substandard work on the foundations of this property and the Board considered this action as negligence. The foundation lay out was also not in accordance with the building consent. The Respondent was also found to have carried out or supervised external plastering work without an external plastering licence. The Respondent did not misrepresent his competence and did not bring the LBP scheme into disrepute. He also provided a record of work as he was obliged to do. The Respondent’s licence is suspended for nine months and he is ordered to pay a fine of $2,000 and costs of $2,000. The Board will also publicly notify their decision.
