  • Summary: The Respondent falsely obtained a New Zealand Passport and was convicted of Immigration Act offences. The Respondent then used his falsely obtained passport to mislead the LBP scheme into granting him a Carpentry licence under a false name. The Board considered his offending in relation to his previous conviction as well as his behaviour to continue the dishonest activity. Due to the seriousness of the offences, the Respondent’s licences have been cancelled and he may not reapply for a period of no less than five years. The Respondent is also ordered to pay costs of $2,000 and the Board will further publicise their decision.
