Summary:
The Respondent has carried out and supervised building work in a negligent manner and in a manner that is contrary to a building consent contrary to sections 317(1)(b) and 317(1)(d) of the Act. He is censured in respect of those breaches. The Respondent has also failed to provide a record of work on completion of restricted building work contrary to section 317(1)(da)(ii) of the Act.
He is fined $1,500 for the breach of section 317(1)(da)(ii) of the Act. The Respondent is ordered to pay costs of $3,500 toward the costs of the investigation and hearing.
A record of the disciplinary offending will be on the public Register for a period of 3 years.
